Peonies have always held a special place in my heart. In many cultures, they symbolize abundance, prosperity, beauty, and the fleeting magic of youth.

“Passion” was created as part of my Peonies 2026 series during a deeply personal period of reflection. It was painted at the moment I finally understood that true love begins with ourselves. The energy, tenderness, and abundance we seek in the world must first be cultivated within.

The vibrant blooms seem to spill beyond the canvas, filling the space with movement, color, and life. Their layered petals create a sense of richness—not only material abundance, but emotional abundance as well.

An interesting detail: in my home in Ukraine, a large painting of peonies hangs in my kitchen. For many years it has reminded me of the generosity of the universe, the beauty of everyday life, and the presence of love even during difficult times.

For me, Passion is a celebration of self-love, abundance, and the courage to open one’s heart fully to life.
